US M577 Command Post

Winston Gould | Tamiya #35071

The M577 Command Post Carrier was a U.S. Army command and control vehicle based on the M113 armored personnel carrier. Its distinctive raised roof provided additional interior space for commanders, communications equipment, maps, and staff personnel. A large rear ramp allowed easy access, while an external tent could be attached to expand the working area when stationary. Mobile and lightly armored, the M577 allowed headquarters elements to accompany mechanized forces and served extensively in command, communications, and fire-direction roles.
